Gregory Vernon Rivers

Mr. Gregory Vernon Rivers, age 58, entered into rest on April 6, 2025. A celebration of life will be held at 5:00 PM on Sunday, April 13, 2025 in the Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Michael Davis. The family will greet friends following the service at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home. 

Mr. Rivers was born on December 31, 1966 in Chesterfield, SC to the late Billy Ray Rivers and Marceine Wilkerson Raffaldt. “Bookie”, as he was affectionately known as, was a mechanic by trade and enjoyed spending time on the telephone talking with family and friends. He always had a smile and open heart to everyone that he came in contact with. Gregory had a talent for playing the guitar and was known for being an excellent cook. He could often be found fishing at the beach.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Rivers was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Vernon and Agnes Wilkerson; paternal grandparents, Leroy and Gladys Rivers; and uncle, Roger Dale Wilkerson, Sr.

Survivors include his children, Amilynn Rivers, and Justin Rivers; siblings, Dewayne Wilford Boan, Billy Ray (Brandi) Rivers, II, Timothy (Lori) Rivers; Raquel Rivers (Andy) Smith; step-mother, Rachel Rivers Guinn; grandchildren, Paisley, Luke and Hunter; uncle and aunts, Dewayne “Buck” (Hettie) Wilkerson; Myrtle Wilkerson (Jimmy) Short, and Annette J. Wilkerson.
