DECEASED: Mr. Gerar Rivers, age 86, died Saturday, May 26, 2012.
FUNERAL SERVICE: 11:00 A.M., Monday, May 28, 2012 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel. Chesterfield, SC
INTERMENT: will follow in the Zoar United Methodist Church Cemetery
VISITATION: is 10:00 - 11:00 AM, Monday, May 28, 2012 prior to the service at the Funeral Home
HISTORY: Mr. Rivers was born February 16, 1926 in Chesterfield County, a son of late Fred and Mary Liles Rivers. He was a gunsmith and a small engine mechanic, and a retired employee of Delta Mills. Gerar enjoyed fishing, hunting, and woodworking. In addition to his parents, Gerar was also preceded in death by his wife, Bertha R. Rivers, 3 brothers, Fred, James "Mack", and Thomas C. Rivers, and by 2 sisters, Mary Robinson and Virginia Quick.

2 Sons: Thomas (Laticia) Rivers of Cheraw, SC and Johnny Wayne (Olinda) Rivers of Laredo, TX
2 Grandchildren: Susan Rivers and Gail (Jeffrey) Crawford
3 Great Grandchildren: Gage, Ethan, and Sydney Crawford
1 Sister: Naomi R. Boatwright of Cheraw, SC
