George Dwight Teal

Mr. George Dwight Teal, age 63, entered into rest on Friday, November 22, 2019 at his home. Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Monday, November 25, 2019 at Patrick Cemetery by Brent Taylor. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Sunday, November 24, 2019 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home, 318 E. Main Street, Chesterfield, SC.

Mr. Teal was born January 2, 1956 in Hartsville, SC a son of the late Luther “Bud” and Lou Eva Cranford Teal. He was a retired employee of Commercial Piping & Fabricating. George was a true outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, gardening, and was known for his “green thumb.”

In addition to his parents, Mr. Teal was also preceded in death by a sister, Debbie Christine Teal; brothers, Kenneth Carroll Teal, Roger “Shorty” Teal, and Wayne Teal; half-brothers, Dallas, Coleman, Ronnie, and Jimmy O’Neal; sister-in-law, Faye Tolson Teal; and special friend, JoAnn McCormick.

Survivors include his children, George Andrew “Drew” Teal, Crystal Teal, and Buffie Manus all of Asheboro, NC; 6 grandchildren; brother, Darrell (Gale) Teal of Hartsville, SC; sisters-in-law, Linda O’Neal and Lois O’Neal of Patrick, SC; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins including special cousin, B.J. Cranford of Hartsville, SC; and his beloved dog, Isabelle.
