Funeral Service: 3:00 P.M. Monday October 5, 2009 at Bethel Baptist Church

Interment: to follow in the Church Cemetery.

Visitation: 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Sunday October 4, 2009 at Bethel Baptist Church.

History: Mr. Horton was born July 29, 1943, in Baxley, Georgia, a son to the late George Leonard and Louella Crosby Horton. He was a retired textile supervisor and a member of Bethel Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by a brother, Cleveland Horton, and by 4 sisters, Hazel Jackson, Shirley Lane, Mattie Sapp, and Willa Mae Carter.

2 Sons: Marty Horton of Bishopville, SC and Norman Horton of Cassatt, SC
2 Daughters: Lori Ann Horton (Pete) Smith of Bishopville, SC and Renee (Richard) Jones of Lancaster, SC
3 Sisters: Nell Sheffield and Leola Robertson of Baxley, GA. and Juanita Leggett of Odum, GA
Also 8 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren
