Elmer R. "Jack" Hendrix

Patrick, SC

          Mr. Elmer R. “Jack” Hendrix, age 81, entered into rest on Monday, January 16, 2023. Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Saturday, January 21, 2023 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Pastor Patrick Lafferty with burial to follow in the Patrick Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 2:00 – 3:00 PM Saturday, January 21, 2023 prior to the service at the funeral home.

          Mr. Hendrix was born February 13, 1941 in Patrick, SC a son of the late Brunson James and Marie Gainey Hendrix. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and was the broker-in-charge of Jack Hendrix Realty, Inc. of West Columbia. Jack enjoyed attending Northside Baptist Church of Lexington, SC and enjoyed traveling with his wife. He also enjoyed landscaping, and working in his rose gardens and vegetable garden.

          In addition to his parents, Mr. Hendrix was also preceded in death by granddaughter, Bella Lafferty; brother, Joel Hendrix; and sister, Mary Catherine Tolson.

          Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Dorothy Hendrix of the home; children, Katie Cox of West Columbia, SC, Christy H. (Pastor Patrick) Lafferty of Arden, NC, Gina Hendrix of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico; grandchildren, Bryce (Brittany) Cox of Lexington, SC, Seamus Lafferty, Savannah Lafferty, Jedidiah Lafferty; brothers, Brunson J. (Paulette) Hendrix, Jr. of Irmo, SC, and Jerry Hendrix of Patrick, SC; numerous great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
