Ellen had a great passion for horseback riding, especially enjoying time spent with her beloved horse, Lilly. She also enjoyed meeting her girlfriends, including her dear friend Ms. Lynne Jonas of 48 years, for breakfast or lunch. It was a time she cherished for the laughter and companionship. Above all, Ellen treasured her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchild. She also played an active role in organizing her high school reunions, serving on the graduation committee with great enthusiasm.
She was a member of Royal Oaks Baptist Church in Kannapolis, where she found a spiritual home and a community of friends.
