FUNERAL SERVICE: 4:00 P.M., Friday, October 26, 2007 at Cross Roads Baptist Church

INTERMENT: in the Church Cemetery

VISITATION: 6:00 - 8:00 PM Thursday October 25, 2007 at Cross Roads Baptist Church Family Life Center.

HISTORY: Mrs. Sowell was born November 21, 1916 in Ruby, SC a daughter of the late John Wesley and Ada Oliver Hancock. She was a graduate of Ruby High School and a retired employee of Chesterfield Mfg. Mrs. Sowell was a lifelong member of Cross Roads Baptist Church, where she served as former Sunday School Teacher, Choir member, WMU member and was a member of the Senior Citizens. She was a member of the Senior Circle. Elizabeth was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Allison Sowell and by her 14 siblings.

SURVIVORS: Husband of 61 years: Archie E. Sowell of the home.

1 Son: Randy W. (Janice) Sowell of Chesterfield, SC

1 Daughter: Mettie S. (Jim) Spittle of Matthews, NC

4 Grandchildren: Meredith (Lee) Wallace, Chrystal Sowell, Angela (Jason) Gibbons, and Matthew Spittle.
4 Great Grandchildren: Ryan and Hannah Gibbons,
Parker Spittle, and Dawson Wallace
