Elizabeth "Beth" McManus Teal

Chesterfield, SC

          Mrs. Elizabeth “Beth” McManus Teal, age 72, entered into rest on Sunday, October 2, 2022 at her home. A Celebration of Life Service will be 2:00 PM Thursday, October 6, 2022 at Zoar United Methodist Church by Pastor Billy Jack Johnson. The family will receive friends between the hours of 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at the Teal home, 1846 Zoar Road, Chesterfield, SC.

          Mrs. Teal was born December 2, 1949 in Columbia, SC a daughter of the late Kenneth and Lou “Red” Latta McManus. She was a graduate of Cheraw High School and attended Limestone College. Beth was the former owner and operator of Cabin Creek Restaurant and a former secretary with Piedmont Welding. She was a member of Zoar United Methodist Church. A lady who never met a stranger, Beth enjoyed meeting friends, going out to eat, working in her flowers, and spending time with her family on weekend beach trips to Calabash, NC. She will also be fondly remembered for her special title, “Honeybee,” given to her by her husband, and for her special love for her dogs and cats.

          In addition to her parents, Mrs. Teal was also preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Thomas Eugene “Tommy” Teal.

          Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Bobby Teal of the home; sons, Ret Teal of Chesterfield, SC, and Mac Teal of St. Louis, MO; daughter, Callie Teal of Myrtle Beach, SC; grandchildren, Devin Teal, Cassie Teal, Mackenzie Teal, and Beckem Teal.

          Memorials may be made to the Chesterfield County Animal Shelter, 436 Goodale Road, Chesterfield, SC 29709 or to a charity of one’s choice.
