Mrs. Elese D. Griggs, age 88, entered into rest on Friday, February 25, 2022. Graveside services will be 4:00 PM Monday, February 28, 2022 at Friendship United Methodist Church Cemetery by Pastor Fred McDaniel and Rev. Jeff Gardner. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Sunday, February 27, 2022 at the family home, 655 Shiloh Acres Rd., Chesterfield, SC.

Mrs. Griggs was born August 15, 1933 in Chesterfield County, SC a daughter of the late Oscar and Era Jones Douglass. She was the secretary of Grady F. Griggs & Son Welding, Inc. and a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening around her azaleas and working in her flowers. Elese enjoyed staying in contact with her friends.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Griggs was also preceded in death by her husband, Grady F. Griggs.

Survivors include her son, Marty (Susie Trexler) Griggs of Chesterfield, SC; and a host of close friends.
