Eddy Martin Boan passed away July 21, 2026, at McLeod Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. He was 61 years old.

Born in Cheraw, SC on September 5, 1964, to the late Jessie Lloyd and Bernice Louise Thomas Boan. He attended the First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Bennettsville. He was a graduate of Chesterfield High School class of 1983. He loved to laugh and make people laugh, cut grass, riding his bicycle, and never met a stranger. He was a fan of the Chesterfield Golden Rams, Marlboro County Bulldogs, and loved wrestling, especially Ric Flair. Everyday no matter what at 12noon he would stop what he was doing to watch the news and from 12:30-2pm he would watch the Young and the Restless and Bold and the Beautiful.

He leaves behind to cherish his loving memory; daughter, Danielle Moore; sisters, Patirica Harp (William “WT”), Wendy Polson, Sue Quick (Willard), Vickie Smith, Debbie Gulledge, Joyce Dixon, and Marie Cheek (Billy); 1 grandchild; 9 nieces; 10 nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents listed above, brothers, David Lloyd Boan and Brooks Jeffrey Boan, and sister, Linda Diane Boan.

The family will hold a memorial service 1pm, Saturday, July 25, 2026, at the First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Bennettsville. They will receive friends from 12-1pm just prior to the service at the church.
