Mrs. Doris Horne Evans, age 60, entered into rest on Sunday, August 15, 2021. Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Friday, August 20, 2021 at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery by Brent Taylor. The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery.

Friends may visit Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home between the hours of 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Thursday, August 19, 2021 for a time of viewing and paying of respects.

Mrs. Evans was born May 2, 1961 in Chesterfield, SC a daughter of Jonas William “Pete” and Katherine James Horne. Doris was a devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother who loved her family very deeply. She was a member of Providence Baptist Church. A lady with a huge heart for others, Doris was always looking for ways to help others. She enjoyed shopping trips with her sister and taking care of her grandbabies. She was a true friend to all and she will always be remembered for her heart of gold.

Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Curtis Lane Evans of the home; son, Phillip Lance (Britney) Evans of Marshville, NC; grandchildren, Trenton Evans, and Dawson Evans; brothers, J.W. Horne, and Scotty (Carla) Horne both of Pageland, SC; sister, Carolyn Thomas of Indian Trail, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to MRC Funeral Home, 318 E. Main Street, Chesterfield, SC 29709 to assist the family.
