HISTORY: Mrs. Shaw was born August 31, 1926, in Chesterfield, SC, a daughter of the late John Murray Davis, Sr. and Viola Cranford Davis. She was a retired seamstress and a homemaker. Mrs. Shaw was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Doris was also preceded in death by her husband, James C. Shaw, a son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Jo Shaw, a daughter, Bonnie Jean Shaw, a grandson, John Thomas Rivers, and by 3 brothers, Bealer, John M., and Gene Davis.

2 Daughters: Carol S. (Gerry) Rivers and Doris S. (J.W.) Lisenby of Chesterfield, SC
1 Brother: W. L. (Kate) Davis of West Columbia, SC
3 Sisters: Gladys D. Kelly, Helen D. Moore, and Lib D. Guinn all of Chesterfield, SC
7 Grandchildren: Lisa (Ricky) Hancock, Eric (Tammy) Hewett, Scott (Tara) Rivers, Shane Hewett, Angela (Rick) Hays, Jodie (Dan) Allen, and Mandy Davis
13 Great Grandchildren: Bre Anne Hancock, Garrett Hancock, Taylor Rivers, Paiten Rivers, Sydney Allen, Riley Allen, Hannah Harpe, Delaney Hewett, Cassidy Davis, Kane Davis, Justin Hewett, Chloe Hewett, and Madison Bateman.
