Doris Hammonds Bobb

Doris Hammonds Curry Bobb, 75, of Prosperity, died Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at Newberry Health.

Born on October 19, 1951, in Mt. Crogan, SC, she was a daughter of the late James Burris “J.B.” and Lessie Mills Hammonds. Mrs. Bobb retired from Klear Knit. She was a member of Bachman Chapel Lutheran Church and volunteered many hours alongside her husband doing work for the Shriner’s.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Earl Bobb; sisters, Avis Hammonds, Sarah (Woody) Pendravis and Sue Lee (Chester) Moore; brothers, Robert “Bob” (Kathryn) Hammonds, James King (Frances) Hammonds, Carroll Hammonds and John David “Bo” Hammonds.

Mrs. Bobb was predeceased by a husband, Wayne Curry and brothers, Burris Edwards Hammonds and Ernest Eugene Hammonds.

Funeral services will held at 2:00 pm Sunday, November 1, 2026, at Bachman Chapel Lutheran Church by the Rev. Floyd Sides. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service.
