Donna Gulledge Tucker

Ms. Donna Gulledge Tucker, age 67, of Patrick, South Carolina, passed away on February 25, 2026, at the home of her niece. A Celebration of Life gathering for family and friends will be held between 1:00 - 3:00 PM, Saturday, March 7, 2026 in the Fellowship Hall of Hopewell Baptist Church, (15066 Hwy. 9, Chesterfield, SC 29709)

The family will receive friends at the home of her sister, Sherry Parnell, 1082 Highway 265, Ruby, SC 29741, and at the home of her niece, Hayley Threadgill, 233 Ruth Road, Patrick, SC 29584.

Born on November 25, 1958, in Chesterfield, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Vernon Legrande Gulledge and Maude Garlon Teal Gulledge Smith. She was a graduate of Chesterfield High School, class of 1977, and a former employee of Curtis Mini-Mart. Donna grew up attending Cross Branch Baptist Church with her family. A lady who loved her family dearly, Donna enjoyed reading and spending time with her friends.

Donna was a devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys and cheered them on faithfully through every season. She also had a deep love for classic westerns, especially Tombstone and Lonesome Dove. You could often hear Donna quoting her favorite lines with a smile such as “I’m your huckleberry,” and “By God, Woodrow, it’s been a party!” She also found comfort in other timeless classics, including the Andy Griffith show and Gunsmoke.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her nephew, William “Will” Timothy Threadgill.

Ms. Tucker is survived by her sisters, Sherry G. Parnell of Ruby, SC, and Lisa G. Threadgill of Murrells Inlet, SC; step-father, William Smith of Ruby, SC; nieces, Nikki (Calvin) Cassidy of Chesterfield, SC, and Hayley Threadgill of Patrick, SC; along with five great nieces, two great nephews, one on the way, and numerous cousins and extended family.
