Mr. Donald Wayne “Bunky” Tyner, age 78, entered into rest on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at his home. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, August 26, 2022 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Pastor Danny Malloy and Bro. Ricky Malloy with burial to follow in the Lower Macedonia Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM Friday prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Tyner was born December 20, 1943 in Kannapolis, NC a son of the late John Daniel Tyner, Sr. and Lillie Parks Tyner. He was a retired employee of Fluor Daniels Construction and a U.S. Army Veteran. Bunky was a member of Forest Pine Church and enjoyed working on tractors. He enjoyed buying and reselling “valuables” and always had a joke to share.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Tyner was also preceded in death by his sister, Brenda Drye; brothers, John Daniel "Bud" Tyner, Jr., and James “Sonny” Tyner.
Survivors include his wife of nearly 49 years, Elizabeth Ellen Tyner of the home; children, Randall (Dalon) Curry, Donald Curry both of Cheraw, SC; grandchildren, Jessica Curry (Chris) Frasier of Cheraw, SC, Stacy (Brian) Little, Cody Winburn, and Austin Snow all of Cheraw, SC; great grandchildren, Samuel Alford, Dwayne Alford, Deseree Little, Chaytan Little, and Juliette Snow.
