DECEASED: Mr. Don L. Courtney, age 69, loving and treasured husband, father, and grandfather went home to be with his heavenly Father, Wednesday, October 20, 2010.

FUNERAL SERVICE: 3:00 P.M. Friday, October 22, 2010 at the Rose Memorial Church of the Nazarene, 1005 N. Pearl Street, Pageland, SC

INTERMENT: to follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery

VISITATION: 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Thursday, October 21, 2010 at the Rose Memorial Church of the Nazarene.

HISTORY: Mr. Courtney was born March 9, 1941 in Pageland, SC, the son of Nellie Courtney Boone. He was a graduate of Pageland High School and retired from Merita Bakeries. Don was a dedicated member of Grace Baptist Church, where he served as trustee and usher. He was an avid # 3 Dale Earnhardt and Dallas Cowboys fan. Don was preceded in death by his grandmother, Jane Courtney and by his uncle, Carl Courtney.

10 Grandchildren: Kylie and Faith Catoe of the home, Laura and Matthew Usher, Courtney McManus, Kaitlyn and Lake Courtney, Bryceson Catoe, and Cannon and Michael Gainey.
3 Sisters: Nancy (Tom) Stegall of Waxhaw, NC, Minnie (David) Miles of Jefferson, SC, and Linda (Brian) Storey of Anderson, SC
