HISTORY: Mrs. Griggs was born May 18, 1913 in Chesterfield, SC, a daughter of the late Hugh Emmett and Irene Jordan Hunt. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church for over 6o years. In addition to her parents, Dessie was preceded in death by her husband, Carson N. Griggs and by 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
