INTERMENT: will follow in the Church Cemetery

VISITATION: 6:00 - 8:00 PM Monday at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home

HISTORY: Mrs. Allen was born June 6, 1933 in Jefferson, SC a daughter of the late James William and Dessie Mae Price Melton. She was a member of Twin Pines Freewill Baptist Church and a homemaker. Dessie was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Edward J. Allen; 1son, Johnny E. Allen; 3 brothers, Preston, Robert, and Randolph Melton; 1 half brother, Charles Ray Melton; 4 sisters, Mattie Louise Melton, Flora Jane Johnson, Mable Henry, Nancy Rollins; and 1 half sister, Shirley Melton.
