Delbert Gene "Gene-O" Browning

          Mr. Delbert Gene “Gene-O” Browning, age 79, entered into rest on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 with his family by his side. A Celebration of Life Service and gathering will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023 between the hours of 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM at Spring Hill Baptist Church, 2245 Old Camden Hwy. Lancaster, SC.

          Mr. Browning was born March 29, 1943 in Baileysville, WV a son of the late Luther and Minnie Ruth Lester Browning. He was a retired employee of Tyson Foods with 23 years of service. Geno enjoyed riding horses, watching football and NASCAR, and spending time with his beloved dog, “Pippy.” Above all else, spending time with his family of utmost importance.

          In addition to his parents, Mr. Browning was also preceded in death by his wife, Ann Browning; sisters, Juanita “Carol” Glover, Marsha Browning, and Dorothy Browning; and brother, Noah James “Bud” Browning.

          Survivors include his son, Delbert “Del” Browning, II; daughter, Gina Stacks; niece and caregiver, Angela (Jason) Newell, and her daughter, Kassie Sherbert; grandchildren, Jade, Amber, Seth, and Shane; 5 great grandchildren, siblings, Roger (Sylvia) Browning, Sandra (Randy) Funderburk, Ronnie (Trish) Browning, Tim (Donna) Browning, Teddy (Betty) Browning, and Mark (Deb) Browning; and numerous nieces and nephews.

          Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
