David H. White

Chesterfield, SC   

Mr. David H. White, age 67, entered into rest on Thursday, November 24, 2022 with his family by his side. A Celebration of Life Service will be 4:00 PM Saturday, December 3, 2022 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Brent Taylor with burial to follow in the Chesterfield Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 3:00 – 4:00 PM Saturday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. White was born March 8, 1955 in Chesterfield, SC a son of the late William Gregory White, Sr. and Mary Frances Causey White. He was a graduate of Chesterfield High School and a retired employee of Crown Cork & Seal. An avid outdoorsman, David enjoyed working with his tractor and raising cows. He also enjoyed growing a huge garden every year and sharing his harvest with all the neighbors in the community. A man that was a true “homebody,” David enjoyed sitting on his front porch and enjoying nature .

In addition to his parents, Mr. White was also preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth "Beth" Baker White; and  brother-in-law, Donnie Webster.

Survivors include his daughter, Chelza W. (Greg) Leviner of Bennettsville, SC; grandchildren, Kieran Leviner, Kyndall Leviner, and Dakota Leviner; siblings, Alice W. Webster, Greg (Nancy) White, Jr., and Mike (Geraldine) White all of Cheraw, SC; numerous nieces and nephews; great nieces and great nephews; and great-great nieces and nephews of whom he lovingly referred to as “Live Wires.”

In memory of David’s giving heart from his sharing of vegetables, the family suggests that memorials be made to a local food bank of one’s choice.
