DECEASED: Mr. David Blackwell, age 82, died Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at his home.
FUNERAL SERVICE: 2:00 PM, Friday, May 28,, 2010 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel.
INTERMENT: to follow in Bay Springs Baptist Church Cemetery
VISITATION: 6:00 - 8:00 PM, Thursday May 27, 2010 at the Funeral Home.
HISTORY: Mr. Blackwell was born December 23, 1927, in McBee, SC, a son of the late Cass and Emily Smothers Blackwell. He was a retired textile employee and farmer. David enjoyed farming and growing produce and fishing. He was a U. S. Army Veteran of WWII. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Alice Gainey Blackwell and by 2 sisters, Faye Sellers and Gladys Blackwell.

3 Sons: Billy L. Blackwell of Chesterfield, SC, David Kenneth Blackwell of Monroe, NC, and Donald "Pa Duck" Blackwell of Chesterfield, SC
1 Brother: Tommy Blackwell of Cheraw, SC
1 Sisters: Alise Cassidy of Duncan, SC
Also 7 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren
