Mrs. Darlene Hinson Hopkins, age 71, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, February 15, 2022. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, February 18, 2022 at Twin Pines Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery by Pastor Tommy Moser. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM Friday, prior to the service in the Twin Pines Freewill Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.

Mrs. Hopkins was born May 25, 1950 in Lancaster, SC a daughter of the late Russell and Mary Watts Hinson. Mrs. Hopkins was an employee of Caro-Knit for over 30 years before retirement. Darlene attended Long Branch Baptist Church and Twin Pines Freewill Baptist Church. She Enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles, gardening, and traveling. Above all else, Darlene loved spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hopkins was also preceded in death by her husband, R.L. Hopkins, Jr.; sister, Margaret Rohrig; and brother, Butch Hinson.
Survivors include her children, Billy (Clara) Hopkins of Jefferson, SC, Amanda (Mike) Griffin of Jefferson, SC; grandchildren, Emmerson Hopkins, Albany Hopkins, Nolan O’Neal, McKenzie Wilkerson, Jacob Bryant, Heather (Brian) Koziarski; 1 great-grandchild; sister, Barbara Fergueson of Lancaster, SC; special friend, Johnny Mack Melton; and numerous nephews.
