Daniel M. "Danny" Johnson

Mr. Daniel M. “Danny” Johnson, age 70, entered into rest on Friday, April 15, 2022 at his home. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 19, 2022 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Brent Taylor with burial to follow in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM Tuesday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Johnson was born September 18, 1951 in Cheraw, SC a son of the late Oscar Daniel and Clarine Alice Gainey Johnson. He was a self-employed contractor spending his entire career in commercial construction. Danny enjoyed hunting, fishing, and woodworking.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Johnson was also preceded in death by his daughter, Wendy Elaine Johnson; brother, Raymond “Red” Johnson; sister, Shirley Steen; sisters-in-law, Eunice Johnson, and Celia Johnson.

Survivors include his companion, Shirley Cochran, of the home; son, Dan (Debbie) Johnson of Bennettsville, SC; grandchildren, Preston (Rachel Blackwell) Johnson, Marissa Johnson, Mindy Lane (Weston) English, and Hailey Johnson; his grandchildren of the heart, Jordan Stafford, Brett Wherry, Kelsey Wherry, Kinsley Wherry, and their mother, Angela Stafford; siblings, Olin Johnson of Cheraw, SC, Evelyn (Lee) Fulton of Chesterfield, SC, Jimmy (Wanda Holland) Johnson of McBee, SC, and Alice (Larry) Kuhns of Darlington, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews.
