Mr. Daniel Thomas Schauer, age 69, entered into rest on Saturday, July 28, 2018. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 31, 2018 from the chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Rev. Charles Teal with burial to follow in the Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Monday, July 30, 2018 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.

Mr. Schauer was born January 24, 1949 in Norwich, CT a son of Jean Lyon Schauer and the late Harry F. Schauer. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and a retired employee of Crown Cork & Seal with 30 years of service. Mr. Schauer was a member of the D.A.V. Chapter # 50. A true car enthusiast, Daniel enjoyed car shows, riding motorcycles, and playing golf.

In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Delores Schauer.

Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Robin M. Schauer of the home; mother, Jean L. Schauer of Wallace, SC; brothers, Mark (Faye) Schauer, Kirk Schauer both of Wallace, SC, Gary (Karen) Schauer of Chesterfield, SC, and Craig Schauer of Hartsville, SC; Nephews, Kyle (Jessica) Moore, Thomas (Lucy) Schauer, and Kirk (Heather) Schauer, II; nieces, Mary (Andrew) Purvis, and Kristin (Jason McCaskill) both of Chesterfield, SC, Dawn (John) Simmons, Caryn Schauer, and Jennifer (Tad) Polson; great nephews, Carson and Cooper; and great niece, Savannah.
