McBee, SC - Mr. Dale R. Hawksworth, age 64, passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at the Richmond County Hospice House of Rockingham, NC, surrounded by his loving family. A Celebration of Life service is scheduled for 5:00 PM on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at Macedonia Baptist Church, with Pastor David Sanders officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM, prior to the service.
Born on November 29, 1961, in Wrightstown, NJ, Dale was the son of the late Randolph “Randy” Murray Hawksworth and Joann Benton Hawksworth. He was a proud graduate of McBee High School, Class of 1980, and furthered his education at Clemson University. Dale had a successful career as a truck driver, having worked with TrueRock Holdings, Circle S Turkey Farms, and Fork Creek Turkey Farms.
As a faithful member of Macedonia Baptist Church, he served the Lord as a former deacon, Sunday school teacher, choir member, church bus driver, and took part in the security team and various other committees. His heart for missions was evident through his involvement with the Southern Baptist Disaster Relief Team and the many international mission trips he took part in, always seeking to share the love of Christ and help those in need. In his free time, Dale enjoyed photography and farming.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Chad Faulkenberry.
Dale is survived by his brother, David “Boginnea” (Jill) Hawksworth of McBee, SC; sister-in-law, Bobbi Faulkenberry of Kershaw, SC; step-mother, Susan Hawksworth of Camden, SC; nephew, Justin (Kayla) Hawksworth of Cheraw, SC; nieces, Alicia “Possum Head” (Christopher) Miles of Jefferson, SC, and Erin “Cowboy” Hawksworth of Greenville, SC; as well as great nieces and great nephews: Sarah, Trenton, Addy, Luke, and Jake. He is also remembered by his close friends, whom he considered brothers: John Vilcov, Dennis “T-Bone” Johnson, Rod Clark, and Charles Benton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Macedonia Baptist Church "Ministry Fund," c/o Beverly Raley, 15680 Hwy. 151, Jefferson, SC 29718.
