The following obituary is being shared as a courtesy to the Griffin family. Mr. Griffin's grandson, Hank Griffin, serves as our aftercare director here at Miller-Rivers-Caulder and is also the pastor of Oakland Baptist Church of Chesterfield. On behalf of the MRC family, we extend our love, prayers, and sympathies to the Griffin family.
Mr. Charles Larry Griffin entered into rest on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at the age of 75 with his family by his side. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, December 10, 2023 at the Heritage Funeral Home-Indian Trail Chapel by his grandson, Hank Griffin. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM Sunday, prior to the service. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Lakeland Memorial Park, Monroe, NC
Mr. Griffin was born in Pageland, SC on December 31, 1947 to the late Maudie E. Griffin. Larry, as he was known by to many, enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with family and friends. He was an avid Carolina Panthers fan and could often be found watching a football game or a western movie.
During his working days, Mr. Griffin worked as a Snap-On Tool Dealer and an Auto Parts Salesman. Of things most enjoyed, spending time with his family was his favorite. He loved his family dearly and always made sure that they knew that.
Survivors include his beloved wife of the home, Betty Griffin; son, Chuck (Tonya) Griffin of Pageland, SC; daughter, Angie (Adam) Philbeck of Indian Land, SC; grandchildren, Hank (Maggie) Griffin; Logan and Gracin Philbeck; great-grandchildren, Samuel and Belle Griffin.
