CELEBRATION OF LIFE SERVICE: 12:30 PM, Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Westside Baptist Church

VISITATION: 12:00 – 12:30 PM Saturday, May 23, 2015 prior to the service at the church

HISTORY: Mr. Carpenter was born April 5, 1943 in Bennettsville, SC a son of Odessa Hyatt. He was a former police officer with the Town of Cheraw, and a retired Restaurant Equipment Sales Representative. Mr. Carpenter was an avid Carolina Gamecocks fan, Washington Redskins fan, and enjoyed watching NASCAR. Charles also was a sports memorabilia collector and never met a stranger. He was a former member of the SC Army National Guard and attended Westside Baptist Church. Charles was preceded in death by his son, Charles David Carpenter, Jr. and a special friend, Patsy Lewis.

3 Daughters: Mary C. (Tim) O'Shields of Myrtle Beach, SC, Melinda C. (Harvey) Brown of Florence, SC, and Starr C. (Stacy) Brown of Indian Trial, NC
Mother: Odessa Hyatt of Charlotte, NC
Brother of the Heart: Mike Bruner of Cheraw, SC
Also 7 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren
