Carson Odis Sullivan, Jr.

Mr. Carson Odis Sullivan, age 72, entered into rest on Sunday, August 2, 2026 at McLeod Health - Cheraw. A private celebration of life service will be held at a later date.

Born in Monroe, NC on November 19, 1953 to the late Carson Odus Sullivan, Sr. and Dorothy Juanita Sikes Sullivan. Mr. Sullivan was a graduate of Pageland High School, class of 1972. Odis, as he was affectionately known, was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. Following retirement in lead set up from Apex Tool Group (formerly Cooper Tool), Mr. Sullivan went on to work for Walmart of Hartsville. He was well respected by his colleagues for his hard work ethic, and as a man that put others first, with a motto of never leaving someone in a bind and having a willingness to help wherever necessary. Odis enjoyed riding his motorcycle and spending time with his dogs. He loved all children (a demonstration of his big heart), but most of all, his granddaughters were the apple of his eye.

Mr. Sullivan is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Ellen Sullivan of the home; children, Mike (Christa) Sullivan of Indian Trail, NC; and Angel (Johnathan) Portman of Kershaw, SC; grandchildren, Kasey Mobley and Madison McCroskey, both of the home; niece, Zoey Airington of Jefferson, SC; sisters, Sarah (Gene) Rivers of Mt. Croghan, SC; Nellie (Kevin) Toby of Kershaw, SC; brother, Jim (Edie) Sullivan of New Salem, NC in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fairview Baptist Church, c/o Stacy Jenkins, 6178 Airport Road, Mt. Croghan, SC 29727.
