Rena Gibson Albright

Mrs. Rena Gibson Albright, age 59, of Ruby, South Carolina, peacefully entered into eternal rest on the evening of January 5, 2026, at Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, January 10, 2026, from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Brent Taylor with burial to follow in the Clanton Plains Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM Saturday, prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at Rena’s home.

Mrs. Albright was born May 3, 1966 in Chesterfield, SC a daughter of the late J. Harold Gibson and Iris Ratliff Deese. She was a former employee of Chesterfield Yarn Mills with over 17 years of service and a member of Clanton Plains Baptist Church. Rena enjoyed riding her motorcycle and traveling to the beach. Her favorite pastimes were watching cop shows on television or animal planet. She was a talented seamstress who enjoyed crocheting blankets for her family.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Albright was also preceded in death by her step-father, Bobby Lee Deese; and sister, Teresa Lynn Gulledge.

Survivors include her husband, J.D. Albright; children, Jesse (Robin) Gilmore, and Christie (Josh) Shaw both of Chesterfield, SC; daughter of the heart, Bridget (Danny) Hodge of Ruby, SC; grandchildren, Charlie Gilmore, Nathan Gilmore, Preston Shaw, and Paisley Shaw; brothers, Randall Gibson of McBee, SC, and Stewart (Cindy) Gibson of Chesterfield, SC; in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.
