Mr. Carol C. Morton, Jr. age 71, entered into rest on Thursday, February 3, 2022 with his family by his side. Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Monday, February 7, 2022 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Pastor Michael Davis, Rev. Tim Haulbrook, and Rev. Cody Harvey with burial to follow in the Douglas Mill Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:30 – 3:00 PM Monday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Due to COVID-19 regulations, our staff is committed to taking care of our guests and families that we serve. We also ask all guests and family members attending visitations and services to please continue social distancing and if desired to bring and wear a mask.

Mr. Morton was born March 13, 1950 in Chesterfield County, SC a son of the late Cranford and Minnie Lee Williams Morton. He was a retired employee of Chesterfield Webbing with over 31 years of service and a faithful member of Chesterfield Church of God. An avid outdoorsman, Carol enjoyed fishing, gardening, working with his tractors, and “tinkering” on antique cars.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Morton was also preceded in death by a son of the heart, Buddy Turner; sister, Jean Eddins; and brother, Joe Morton.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 25 years, Margaret Brigman Morton of the home; daughter, Crystal (Bruce) Coward of Chesterfield, SC; step-daughter, Ashley (Don Gulledge) Roscoe of Ruby, SC; step-sons, Chris Roscoe of Ruby, SC, and Michael Roscoe of Cheraw, SC; son of the heart, David Turner of Chesterfield, SC; 8 grandchildren; siblings, Donnie Morton of Chesterfield, SC, Ricky (Gale) Morton of Mt. Croghan, SC, Phillip (Anne) Morton of McBee, SC, Rachel (Gary) Guinn of Ruby, SC, Ruth Sellers of Ruby, SC, and Kathy Smith of Chesterfield, SC; sister-in-law, Peggy Morton of Patrick, SC; numerous nieces and nephews including nephews who were raised as sons, Josh & Kyle Morton.
