Brenda Tyson Plyler, 81, of Albemarle passed away Tuesday morning, October 31, 2023 at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm, Monday, November 6, 2023 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Norwood.  Pastor Rob Barton will officiate.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Edwards Funeral Home.  Interment will follow the service in Norview Gardens. 

Brenda was born September 13, 1942 in Anson County to the late John R and Emma Johnson Tyson.  She graduated from Ansonville High School and retired from Duke Energy.  She was a member of Norwood First Baptist Church. 

Brenda loved her family and was a devoted wife and mother.  She enjoyed being a homemaker, where she spent a lot of time in the kitchen baking goodies and working in her garden.  In her spare time she enjoyed clogging.  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell Plyler and her sister, Barbara Cooper.

She is survived by her son, Christopher Neil Dennis(Dana) of Garner, NC; daughter, Tammy Dennis Barton(Rob) of Youngsville, NC; her former husband and father of her children, Bobby Dennis;  grandchildren, Krystina Myers, Kierstyn Myers, L’il Rob Barton(Emily), Nathan Barton, James Barton and Hailey Moss(Nathaniel); great grandchildren, Phoebe, Willa and Cash Barton and Rose Moss; sisters, Phyllis Kupsick and Rachel Carpenter; brothers, Richard Tyson(Rose) and Mark Tyson(Katie); step children, Charlotte Parker(Rusty) and Scott Plyler(Satrina); special friends, Debbie and Beemie Gimore.

The family wishes to thank her caregivers, niece, Ketta Cooper and Melissa Greer for their love and care for the past year.
