New Bern, NC – Mr. Bradley Mack Eddins, age 95, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at CarolinaEast Medical Center in New Bern, NC with his family by his side. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, March 19, 2026 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home, 318 E. Main Street, Chesterfield, SC. The service will be officiated by Melinda Yule and Suzanne McCorkle with burial to follow at Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens, Cheraw, SC. The family will greet friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM Thursday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Eddins was born on August 20, 1930, a son of the late Andrew and Rena Williams Eddins. He and his wife made their home in Chesterfield, South Carolina, where they lived and raised their family for many years. Later in life, when their health began to decline, they moved to New Bern, North Carolina, to be closer to their daughter. Mr. Eddins worked for the South Carolina Department of Transportation for more than 40 years. He was a quiet-natured man of few words who lived his life with steady dedication and an unfaltering sense of purpose until the very end.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Eddins was also preceded in death by his siblings, Willie Eddins, Archie Lee Eddins, Helen Freeman, Andrew Wiley Eddins, Donald Eddins, and Daisy Mae Eddins.
Mr. Eddins is survived by his beloved wife of more than 70 years, Faye Talbert Eddins. He is also survived by his children, David Eddins (Steffini) of West Palm Beach, Florida, and Susan Eddins LaPrairie (Don) of New Bern, North Carolina. His surviving siblings include Margaret Barber of Wadesboro, North Carolina; Myrtle Myers (Sammy) of Hartsville, South Carolina; and Alfred Eddins of Chesterfield, South Carolina.
He was a proud grandfather to Emily Eddins Short (fiancé, Ty Brumley) of Society Hill, South Carolina; Susannah LaPrairie Glaeser (Bjoern) of Charlotte, North Carolina; Alexis Eddins of Locust, North Carolina; Barak LaPrairie (fiancée, Sydney Pedersen) of New Bern, North Carolina; and Aaron Eddins of West Palm Beach, Florida. He was also blessed with two great-grandchildren, Henry and Eliana Glaeser of Charlotte, North Carolina.
Mr. Eddins will be remembered for his quiet strength, steadfast devotion to his family, and the faithful life he lived.
