FUNERAL SERVICE: 2:00 PM, Sunday, September 1, 2013 at Friendship United Methodist Church

INTERMENT: will follow in the church cemetery with Masonic Rites

VISITATION: is 1:00 - 2:00 PM, Sunday prior to the service in the Church Fellowship Hall

HISTORY: Mr. Smith was born March 25, 1927 in Chesterfield, SC a son of the late Henry and Annie Gulledge Smith. He was a retired foreman with the SC Highway Department and a U.S. Navy veteran. Bobby was a member and past Master of the Chesterfield Masonic Lodge 220. He was a faithful member of Friendship United Methodist Church for many years where he was a choir member and served on various committees. Bobby enjoyed gardening, hunting, and fishing. In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by a grandson, Bobby Ray Burr; son-in-law, James Webster; four brothers, Everett, Levi, Donald, and J.C. Smith; and by two sisters, Myrtle Weatherford and Thelma Menzo.

Wife of 64 years: Irene Sellers Smith of the home
2 Daughters: Janet Webster of Cheraw, SC and Vernitta (Buddy) Burr of Chesterfield, SC
3 Grandchildren: Jackie Hoskins and finance Tom Hipp, Justin Burr, and Robbie Webster
3 Great Grandchildren: Jade, Jennifer, and Jackson Hoskins
1 Sister: Bertie Oliver of Chesterfield, SC
