MEMORIAL SERVICE: is 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 9, 2010 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel


VISITATION: will be 1:00 - 2:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home

HISTORY: Mr. Oliver was born May 9, 1928 in Ruby, SC a son of the late Claude Lester and Mary Ann Hicks Oliver. He was a graduate of Ruby High School and a former employee of Burlington Industries. Bill was a retired owner and operator of Oliver's Small Engine and was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Ruby-Mt. Croghan Volunteer Fire Department for over 37 years and was a member of Mt. Croghan United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by a son Frankie Oliver, Jr.; a brother, C. L. Oliver, Jr.; and by a sister, Ella Wilson Oliver.

2 Sons: Donnie (Sheila) Oliver and Steve (Cheryl) Oliver all of Ruby, SC
3 Daughters: Vickey (Jack) Oxendine of Inverness, FL, Kay (Thomas) Knight of Ruby, SC and Christine (David) Johns of Myrtle Beach, SC
2 Brothers: Mike Oliver and Jack Oliver both of Chesterfield, SC
2 Sisters: Betty Johnson Agnew of Ruby, SC and Iris Hill of El Cajon, CA
Also 5 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild
