Miss Beverly Loraine Guyton, age 74, entered into rest on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at her home. Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Sunday, April 10, 2022 at Rocky Creek Presbyterian Church by Pastor Tommy Lee Sexton and Reverend Sue Black with burial to follow in the White Plains Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 2:00 – 3:00 PM prior to the service in the fellowship hall of Rocky Creek Presbyterian Church.
Miss Guyton was born January 31, 1948 in Monroe, NC a daughter of the late Johnny Guyton and Janice Mary Hilton Kirkley. She was a graduate of Jefferson High School and a loving caregiver to numerous family members and friends through the years. Beverly was a member of White Plains Baptist Church and enjoyed attending Rocky Creek Presbyterian Church. A lady with a larger-than-life personality, she was known for her outgoing personality and contagious trademark laugh! Beverly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, sharing her latest fashion accessories. She also enjoyed spending time in her rocking chair as she talked with friends, going out to eat, and shopping. Beverly had her own preference of music and it had to be “upbeat.”
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Guyton was also preceded in death by her step-father, Cletus Kirkley.
Survivors include her son, Derrick (Jennifer) Guyton of Camden, SC; grandchildren, Destiny, Madison, Katelyn, Alby, and Adeline; sister, Diane Sistare of Charlotte, NC; numerous friends that were family to her including, John & Joyce Balthrop, Jean & Jackie Campbell, and Ronnie & Rhonda Welch.
