Mrs. Beulah Roscoe Threatte, age 90, formerly of Cheraw, SC, entered into rest peacefully on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at the home of her granddaughter in Warner, NH. A private graveside service will be held at Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church Cemetery in Cheraw, SC.
Mrs. Threatte was born March 10, 1931 in Chesterfield County, SC a daughter of the late Willie and Jamima Rosanelle “Nellie” Roscoe. She was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church of Cheraw, SC where she was very active in the United Methodist Women’s groups. Mrs. Threatte was a retired employee of Belk Department Store in Chesterfield, SC with 31 years of service. Her hobbies included working in her flower gardens, yard work, and helping design outfits for customers throughout the years.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Threatte was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 72 years, Tavener Augustus Threatte, who passed away on April 5, 2021; son, John Wayne Threatte; and siblings, Vera Wallace, Woodrow Roscoe, Olin Roscoe, Henry Roscoe, Robert Roscoe, Lee Roscoe, and Margaret Teal.
Survivors include her daughter, Joan Threatte Bobbitt of Warner, NH; grandchildren, Rebecca (Steve) Augeri of Warner, NH, Wayne (Cheryl) Threatte, Jr. of Florence, SC, and Minta Threatte of Carolina Pines, SC; 2 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews including special niece, Ruth Flowers of Macon, GA.
