Betty Owens Mungo

Pageland, SC

Mrs. Betty Owens Mungo, age 92, entered into rest on Saturday, February 19, 2022. Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Friday, February 25, 2022 at the First Baptist Church of Pageland Cemetery by Brent Taylor. The family will receive friends after the service at the graveside.

Mrs. Mungo was born September 19, 1929 in Pageland, SC a daughter of the late Johnny and Beulah Mills Owens. Betty enjoyed baking, canning, and gardening. She also enjoyed watching home and garden and cooking shows on television.

In addition to her parents, Betty was also preceded in death by her husband, Dan Douglas Mungo and brothers; William Owens, Tony Owens, and Barry Owens.

Survivors include her daughter; Dana Steady of Dover, DE; grand-daughter, Brigitte Lacombe of Bonner Springs, KS; brother, Ronnie (Betty) Owens of Watha, NC; sisters, Sue Mangum of Pageland, SC, Jean Hathaway of Matthews, NC; sister-in-law, Betty Owens of Marshville, NC.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Zion United Methodist Church 671 state rd SC-13-135 Pageland, SC 29728 or the Hospice organization of one’s choice.
