HISTORY: Mrs. Gainey was born in Lancaster County, SC a daughter of the late Clyde and Florence "Evelyn" Broughton Broome. She was a retired Certified Nursing Assistant with Lancaster Convalescent Center. Mrs. Gainey was a member of Rocky Creek Baptist Church. Betty was preceded in death by her daughter, Wendy Charline Gainey; 2 brothers, Robert Broome and Jerry Broome; and by 1 sister, Minnie Gibson.

Husband of 46 years: Charles W. Gainey of the home

2 Daughters: Barbara Parker Crawford and husband Dominique and
Penny Belk Romane and her husband Chris both of Jefferson, SC

5 Grandchildren: Candy Parker, Bobby Charles Parker, Caitlin Carnes, Dylan Carnes, and Erin Romane
