Betty "Ann" Eason Bolton

Ruby, SC

          Mrs. Betty “Ann” Eason Bolton, age 79, entered into rest on Thursday, May 4, 2023. Graveside services will be 3:00 PM Sunday, May 7, 2023 at Clanton Plains Baptist Church Cemetery by Dr. Steve West. A viewing will be held from 2:00 - 3:00 PM Sunday in the sanctuary of Clanton Plains Baptist Church. Following the graveside service, a time of visitation will be held in the church fellowship hall.

          Mrs. Bolton was born January 8, 1944 the daughter of the late Parvin Franklin and Leila Mae Short Eason. Ann was a former nurse’s aide and enjoyed attending Clanton Plains Baptist Church with her family. She enjoyed painting and was a very talented artist.

          In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bolton was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard John Bolton; and son, Thomas Christopher Holt.

          Survivors include her daughter, Cynthia Dawn Holt of Waxhaw, NC, and her father, Thomas Holt; grandchildren, Thomas Christopher (Gabby) Holt, Jr., David Scott (Laura) Holt, Robert Dale (Abby) Holt, and Kasey Michelle Holt; great grandchildren, Christopher, Kenzley, Thomas Tucker, Natalie, Ellarie, Alaia, and Lilly; sister, Ruth (Fred) Robinson; brother, Frank (Kathleen) Morgan; cousin and dedicated caregiver, Carolyn West of Ruby, SC; numerous other cousins including special cousins, Cathy Crowley of Mt. Croghan, SC, Debbie Stacks of Lancaster, SC, Bart Short of Ruby, SC; and special uncle, Jessie Ray Short of Lancaster, SC; special friends, Ms. Gail, and Ms. Rosie from The Legacy of Hartsville, and Debbie Holley.

          The family would like to express sincere gratitude to the staff of The Legacy of Hartsville and Agape Hospice of Florence for the exceptional love, care, and compassion shown to Mrs. Ann and her family.
