Barbara Rose Cato Threatt, 85, of Augusta, GA, crossed over to be with our loving, heavenly Father in her eternal home on Monday, June 2, 2025.
Barbara was born and raised in Pageland, SC and was the daughter of Floyd and Nezzie Cato.
Barbara was preceded in death by the love of her life Arnold Edwin Threatt Sr. whom she married on March 02, 1957. They were married for 50 beautiful years. Their legacy continues through their son, Arnold Edwin Threatt Jr. (Joan) and their daughter, Lori Threatt Usry (Wayne). Barbara is survived by seven grandchildren: Jennifer Usry (Wesley), Katie Cowart (Matt), Ashley Hull (Kyle), Gail Threatt, Matthew Usry (Kerri), Jessica Myers (Logan), and John Threatt (Megan); along with twelve great grandchildren: Natalie Usry, Olivia Usry, River Usry, Reed Myers, Adelynn Hull, Kacey Cowart, Ansley Hull, Lani Myers, Goldie Usry, Jake Cowart, Savannah Threatt, and Lilah Myers.
Barbara Threatt’s faith in Jesus and love of Christ that she extended to her family and all those who knew her will influence generations to come for the Kingdom of Jesus.
Barbara Threatt was a member of Burns Memorial Methodist Church of Augusta, GA for 42 years. Barbara enjoyed spending time with her family, playing board games, cards, and watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren grow up. Many memories were made together while traveling on family vacations.
Barbara was preceded in death by her siblings: James Cato, Thayer Richardson, John Cato, Carolyn Mills, Linda Crowe, and Eunice Smith. Her loving brother, Julian Cato (Jean) of Chesterfield, SC, is her last surviving sibling.
Her kind and generous heart will be missed dearly; however, we look forward to the day of worshipping alongside her again in heaven.
Barbara Threatt’s life will be celebrated at Burns Memorial Methodist Church on Saturday June 14, 2025, at 2 PM.
The family will receive relatives and friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pastor Wayne Usry will officiate the service.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Usry, John Threatt, Wesley Usry, Matt Cowart, Kyle Hull and Logan Myers.
