Barbara Murdock

Mrs. Barbara Murdock, age 65, entered into rest on July 31, 2025 at Mcleod Health-Florence, surrounded by her loving family. The family will host a Celebration of Life Memorial Service at 12:00 PM on Saturday, August 16th, 2025 at the Church of Latter-day Saints, 1607 State Rd #13-341, Cheraw, SC.

Born on August 25, 1959 in Sanford, NC, Mrs. Murdock was a daughter of the late Ervin Lynn and Marilyn Nicholson. She was a faithful and beloved member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Cheraw, SC. She enjoyed being outdoors tending to her flowers, listening to windchimes and gardening. Mrs. Murdock liked to eat Mexican food with her family and thrift shopping with her grandson. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Murdock was preceded in death by her sister, Debbie Lynn Marie Nicholson; brother, Robert “Bobby” Forest Nicholson; and grandson, Nathan William Murdock.

Mrs. Murdock is survived by her husband of the home, Silvestre Sanchez; sons, Tommy (Crystal) Murdock and Jimmy (Maria) Strickland; grandchildren, Carter Murdock, Kayden Murdock, Jimmy Strickland, Logan Strickland, Rosalia Lopez-Milleson; soon to be arriving granddaughter, Raven Strickland; sisters, Connie (David) Jordan, Sally (Bobby) White; and four-legged companion, "Gizmo".

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (1607 State Rd #13-341, Cheraw, SC 29520).

The family expresses their appreciation to the doctors, nurses and staff of the ICU at Mcleod Health-Florence for their exceptional care of Mrs. Murdock.
