HISTORY: Ms. Griggs was born April 21, 1947 in Ruby, SC, a daughter of the late John Frye Griggs and Effie Lee Sanders Griggs. She was a retired business administrator with the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC

2 Sons: Julius (Tammy) Covington of Florence, SC and Jason Lawrence Covington, Sr. of Cheraw, SC
1 Daughter: Paige Covington (Wade) Efird of Cheraw, SC
7 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren
1 Brother: Jerry Edward (Judy) Griggs of Tryon, NC
2 Sisters: Ann Elizabeth Gainey of Florence, SC and Patricia Diane Griggs of Columbia, SC
