Mrs. Audrey Stamper Pacer, age 97, passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2026 at her home. The memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at the chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home with Hospice Chaplain Hank Fields officiating. The visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Pacer was born on February 10, 1929 in Kentucky. She was a daughter of the late Lloyd and Grace Stamper. Her passion for quilting and crocheting was not merely a pastime but an art. Mrs. Pacer had the ability to work with power tools, spending much time working on carpentry projects. She found joy in working in her yard and gardening. An avid reader, Mrs. Pacer also enjoyed playing a game of Solitaire. Mrs. Pacer was known by those she loved as a wonderful cook. She also took pleasure in time spent with her beloved pets, which included her chickens and her canine companions that could often be found by her side as she took walks in the woods.

In addition to her parents, Lloyd and Grace Stamper, Mrs. Pacer was preceded in death by her brothers, Verl Stamper, Jimmy Stamper, Maxwell Stamper, Michael Stamper, sister, Sandra Faye Nash; and her husband, John F. Pacer.

Survivors include her children, Traci R. Pacer (Donnie R. Parker) of Patrick, SC; Kathryn Rigney Purvis of Patrick, SC; Cary Grant Forbes of Finger, TN; granddaughter, Rowan Elaine Wood; sisters, Imogene Boyd, Margilene Franch, Sharon Joyce Stamper, Joan Stamper, Nella Walters, Fran Ford, Judy Diane Tapley.
