Anthony B. "Tony" Garris

Wallace, SC

Mr. Anthony B. "Tony" Garris, age 59, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 11, 2026 at his home. Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Sunday, June 14, 2026 at Oak Grove Ministry officiated by Reverend Eric Williamson with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends immediately following the committal service in the church fellowship hall.

Mr. Garris was born September 13, 1966 in Cheraw, SC a son of the late Bennett and Lorraine Quick Garris. He was a graduate of Wallace High School and the University of South Carolina with a BS of Science and Chemistry degree. He worked with Glaxosmithkline Pharmaceutical Company in Raleigh, NC and Schering Plough Pharmaceutical Company in Union, New Jersey as an analytical chemist.

Survivors include his aunts and uncles, Peggy Shaw of Wallace, SC, Loretta Roberts, Shirley (Terry) Chapman both of Cheraw, SC, and Barbara Garris of Patrick, SC; and beloved pets, his dog “Bear,” and cat, “Scott.”
