HISTORY: Ms. Rivers was born December l, 1941, in Chesterfield, SC, a daughter of the late Spurgeon and Ola Campbell Rivers. Alva was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Johnnie Priscilla Gainey and Ruth Kirkley.
