Alan G. Gulledge

          Mr. Alan G. Gulledge, age 81, entered into rest on Monday, April 3, 2023. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, April 7, 2023 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Reverend Howard Rogers and Brent Taylor with burial to follow in the Thompson Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Thursday, April 6, 2023 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.

          Mr. Gulledge was born March 6, 1942 in the Wexford Community of Chesterfield County, SC a son of the late Leon Alford “Sweet” and Bessie Allen Gulledge. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of White Oak Presbyterian Church. Alan was a business entrepreneur and a jack of all trades. He enjoyed coon hunting, deer hunting, fishing, and making homemade ice-cream. Alan was a true people person who never met a stranger.

          In addition to his parents, Mr. Gulledge was also preceded in death by his brother, Wayne Gulledge; and uncle, Leon A. “Bubber” Gulledge.

          Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Kathy R. Gulledge of the home; children, Dana R. Gulledge and husband, Dustin Never of Charlotte, NC, Shannon Cartella and husband, Jim of FL, and Sydney Ming and husband, Bob of MS; grandchildren, Keely R. Never, John Paul Cartella, Lilly Ming, and Sam Ming; and sister, Margaret Deese of Robinsville, NC.
